My knowledge in horsemanship goes back 20 plus years. Like many young girls, I fell love with horses and riding in my youth. As my passion grew, I bought a horse and began regularly riding 20 years ago. I was fortunate enough to board at my home and started running a boarding service, caring, schooling and managing horses as well as assisting with horse rescue. Like most areas in my life, choose a holistic approach. I incorporate this into my care for horses with nutrition, healthcare, energy work and their daily living. The therapeutic and natural healing environment that equine therapy provides is incredibly effective and taps into the healing spirit of these magnificent beings. It is a complete privileged to work among them in this capacity.
I have a master’s in counseling and am grateful to have worked in psychiatric and mental health field for several years with clients across the life span from pediatrics to geriatrics. It was an invaluable experience and an honor to serve that populations and assist in their healing journey. With this experience I gained extensive training and education in crisis intervention and trauma care. I still have a passion for working in the area of trauma and currently I have the honor of instructing a course in trauma via Zoom to mental health workers in Africa. Instructing is a passion of mine and thoroughly enjoyed 8 years as a college instructor teaching in a Humans Service program and a Counseling of Psychology program from 2005-2013.
My spiritual journey brought to me a path of energy work. I became Reiki Master to help give myself a foundation to work from and assist others with healing from a mind, body, spirit perspective. Since then I work on people and animals alike with crystals, energy, and essential oils for balancing and chakra healing. I practice yoga and am currently working on my obtaining my certifications in EFT.
