When helping someone on their life journey I focus on the whole person with a strong recognition of the mind, body, spirit connection. I started practicing Reiki in my own journey towards a practice of helping others through various healing modalities in 1998. I have since become a certified Reiki Master. I have completed a 2 year Shamanic Apprenticeship and work in relationship with the land ancestors and spirit helpers. I enjoy being a part of drumming circles and practicing various types of meditations. hiking, swimming, animals, and art. I am a mother of 3 boys and was a foster parent for 7 years. I began working in the mental health field in 2001

Clinical Education and Experience

I am a Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Science.I graduated from Ottawa University in Phoenix, Arizona in 2010, with a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling and a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy MA, LPCC1544. I am experienced in working with children and families who have been victims of violence and abuse. I am a trained EMDR Therapist. I have been providing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy services for individuals, families, veterans, and treatment centers focusing on addiction, eating disorders, and mental health. I specialize in working with child trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and people seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and the journey they are on.

Training

I am trained in EAGALA, which is the leading Equine Therapy training in the world. EAGALA requires that all its mental health providers are licensed professionals I have extensive training in Sand Tray therapy, Play Therapy, and Art therapy. I am trained to work with victims of sexual abuse and individuals experiencing trauma related symptoms and eating disorders. I am experienced in evidenced based therapies that create permanent changes in the brain. I have training in Reiki and practice Shamanism, Kundalini Yoga, Drumming, Chakra work and Meditation. I believe in the mind body soul connection.
